A new terminology must be used in describing the functions of HotShift version 4. Each day may be divided into four shifts. For example: Four periods of six hours each. The work groups are described as "platoons", whereas some organizations call the workgroups "shifts", there is a conflict when each day is divided into more than one shift. If your organization has only 24-hour shifts and you prefer to use the terms A-Shift, B-Shift etc., HotShift will allow the use of the term "Shift" or even any nickname such as "Heroes" or "Slugs". When configuring a schedule do not confuse the terms "platoon" and "shift". Download preview version of HotShift 4 Updated May 27, 2007 |
